Dear TRICIA members,
Dear TRICIA Members,
This letter is sent to you to launch the election process. Enclosed, you will find:
1. 2021 Elections – Nomination, Eligibility requirements, and Schedule
2. Nomination Form for Prospective Candidates
Please read the requirements carefully before submitting your nomination. Any nomination that does not meet the eligibility requirements as mentioned in the attached form, or is incomplete, will be rejected. Upon receiving nominations, the eligibility of all the candidates will be validated, and all qualified nominations will be posted on TRICIA website. Members will be able to get to know the candidates before they vote as all of the candidates will be sharing with you their vision, past service to TRICIA and future service ideas, or any other not-for-profit experience. Every candidate’s photo and biography will be available on TRICIA website.
As directed by TRICIA Board, this year also we will be mailing ballots by postal mail to you. When you receive your ballots, please review the profiles of the candidates contesting on TRICIA website, cast your vote, and mail those ballots to Tricia NEC in the self-addressed, stamped envelope (postmarked by November 19, 2021). There will be no in-person voting this year due to the health/safety restrictions posed by Covid-19.
We would encourage you to be vigilant and report if you witness any voter fraud or irregularity in the voting process by emailing at tricianec2021@gmail.com. We will need every member’s help to keep this election fair.

The nomination form, digital picture, and write-up in PDF format can be emailed to tricianec2021@gmail.com, by October 25, 2021, until 4.00 PM or Nomination form, picture, and the write-up should be mailed to the NEC mailbox at TRICIA NEC ‐ 2021 P. O. Box 11560 Albany, NY postmarked by October 21, 2021.

2021 Elections – Nomination, Eligibility requirements and Schedule
Eligibility criteria for the Candidates
BOD Candidates: Must have become Life Members on/before December 31, 2019
Executive Committee Candidates
a) Must have become Life Members on/before December 31, 2020
Or
b) Must have been Members in 2020 and 2021 with membership fee for year 2020 paid on/before December 31, 2020, and membership fee for year 2021 paid on/before March 31, 2021.
Nomination requirements for the Candidates
Self-nomination form along with a passport-size photo and a short biography (up to 500 words) that includes: their vision, past service to TRICIA, future service ideas/plans, and any other not-for-profit experience, if applicable.
Nomination Submission and Election Schedule
- TRICIA NEC will send details of Nomination process including Election Guidelines and Nomination Forms by email to the TRICIA Members on October 16, 2021
- Interested candidates must send their Self-nomination forms, including the photo and short biography as stated above, by email to tricianec2021@gmail.com latest by October 25, 2021 4:00 PM EST or to NEC mailbox at TRICIA NEC ‐ 2021 P. O. Box 11560 Albany, NY postmarked by October 21, 2021.
- NEC in concert with TRICIA Secretary will verify Self-nominations received from October 16, 2021 to October 25, 2021 for eligibility and then publish the names and the biographies of all eligible candidates on TRICIA website on October 27, 2021.
- Self-nomination withdrawal date is October 29, 2021 before 4.00 PM EST by email only at tricianec2021@gmail.com.
- Final list of contestants will be posted on TRICIA website and TRICIA Members will be informed by email by October 30, 2021.
- No use of TRICIA logo or any TRICIA property.
- TRICIA NEC will mail ballots to all members by US postal service on November 4, 2021.
- Ballots must be mailed back in the self-addressed, stamped envelopes provided by TRICIA NEC, postmarked no later than November 19, 2021. Ballots returned by any other means will be considered invalid.
- There will be no in-person voting this year due to health/safety restrictions posed by Covid-19.
- TRICIA NEC will announce the election results on November 29, 2021, after counting the postal ballots.
Eligibility to Vote: All members who paid membership on or before August 31, 2021 are eligible.

Any questions related to nomination and election process etc should be directed to TRICIA NEC via email at tricianec2021@gmail.com. All other questions will be directed to the board for clarification.
